Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Salomon Hati started the match with the kick off. When Aarre Tikkanen came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Katerma IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aarre Tikkanen couldn't finish the play. Salomon Hati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eerik Antila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aarre Tikkanen in the 8th minute of play. Jonni Venäläinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sami Hautaniemi having to interfere. Ossian Saariaho's late challenge caught a Vihteljärvi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ossian Saariaho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Katerma IFK's Ossian Saariaho got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sami Hautaniemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lasse Hakamäki in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Jonni Venäläinen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vihteljärvi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonni Venäläinen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonni Venäläinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sami Hautaniemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Katerma IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lasse Voutilainen to maneuver through the defense. Lasse Hakamäki was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Vihteljärvi FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Tarvo Vihervä hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonni Venäläinen got free with Sami Hautaniemi in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aarre Tikkanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eerik Antila having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Tino Kaukonen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vihteljärvi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Katerma IFK the free kick. The supporters of Katerma IFK booed when Vihteljärvi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tino Kaukonen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aarre Tikkanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Eerik Antila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Salomon Hati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eerik Antila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aarre Tikkanen hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lasse Hakamäki made a kick off. Sami Hautaniemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lasse Hakamäki in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Jonni Venäläinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aarre Tikkanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eerik Antila having to interfere. Katerma IFK's Salomon Hati got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute of the match Jan Jämsä shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sami Hautaniemi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Katerma IFK's Sami Hautaniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lasse Hakamäki in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Vihteljärvi FC booed when Katerma IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urpo Rantanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonni Venäläinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eerik Antila made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Aarre Tikkanen sent off a good shot on target. Sami Hautaniemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonni Venäläinen in the 81st minute of play. Petri Koivuporras's late challenge caught a Vihteljärvi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petri Koivuporras helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Katerma IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lasse Voutilainen to maneuver through the defense. Vihteljärvi FC's Jan Jämsä couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Katerma IFK. Sami Hautaniemi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lasse Hakamäki's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Aarre Tikkanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eerik Antila having to make a save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
