The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Olli Berg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kahvapallo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kabböle FC the free kick. The supporters of Kabböle FC booed when Kahvapallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olli Berg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sipi Eerola in the 8th minute really tested Joakim Voutilainen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kahvapallo's goalkeeper Joakim Voutilainen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joakim Voutilainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuomo Haarala in the 15th minute of the match. Aaro Pärssinen struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Joakim Voutilainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kabböle FC. Miikka Kattilakoski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aarne Kananen having to interfere. Kimi Kuparinen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Kabböle FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kahvapallo:s goal. Miikka Kattilakoski shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pasi Häkkinen in the 26th minute of play forced Kabböle FC's goalkeeper Aarne Kananen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaro Pärssinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Kahvapallo's goalkeeper Joakim Voutilainen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tuomo Haarala. Aaro Pärssinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aaro Pärssinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aaro Pärssinen took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joakim Voutilainen. Joakim Voutilainen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Joakim Voutilainen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anssi Olkkonen went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Miikka Kattilakoski could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Aarne Kananen however easily saved by the left post. 2-1 became the score in the 67th minute when Miikka Kattilakoski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Miikka Kattilakoski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aarne Kananen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Aarto Hirvonen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aarne Kananen came out and tried to block the shot, but Aarto Hirvonen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 75th minute. Miikka Kattilakoski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aarne Kananen having to interfere. With his leg Aarne Kananen managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Kahvapallo's Miikka Kattilakoski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 84 minutes into the match, Kabböle FC's goalkeeper Aarne Kananen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miikka Kattilakoski. If Aaro Pärssinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joakim Voutilainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anssi Olkkonen in the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miikka Kattilakoski got free with Aarne Kananen in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anssi Olkkonen kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
