The referee ignored Korpilahti's protests and gave Nikodemus Haapala a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Korpilahti got a freekick which was hit by Nikodemus Haapala. Joakim Voutilainen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eelis Nikander went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 17 minutes into the match, Kahvapallo's goal looked a bit too open when Eelis Nikander came free, but Joakim Voutilainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Korpilahti's zone, Miikka Kattilakoski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
