Riku Sammalkangas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uuno Ojala in the 6th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Pello Sport Club's Uuno Ojala dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ossi Seva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Riku Sammalkangas having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teppo Pulkkinen in the 17th minute of play forced Pello Sport Club's goalkeeper Anssi Markkanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Paavali Laukkanen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KRHK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paavali Laukkanen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, KRHK FC's Riku Sammalkangas got control of the ball when Uuno Ojala tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute Miikka Nielikäinen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riku Sammalkangas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riku Sammalkangas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uuno Ojala in the 24th minute of the match. Anssi Markkanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teppo Pulkkinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Uuno Ojala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Riku Sammalkangas. Uuno Ojala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Pello Sport Club's Uuno Ojala got a free kick in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the game, KRHK FC's Paavali Laukkanen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anssi Markkanen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teppo Pulkkinen to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Miikka Nielikäinen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Riku Sammalkangas was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Riku Sammalkangas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miikka Nielikäinen in the 59th minute of play. Riku Sammalkangas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miikka Nielikäinen went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. 82 minutes into the match, Pello Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Teppo Pulkkinen came free, but Anssi Markkanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Uuno Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Riku Sammalkangas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Markku Niemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-1. Riku Sammalkangas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 94 minutes of play, Pello Sport Club's Miikka Nielikäinen made it 10-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Riku Sammalkangas was left in no man's land by his defense there! It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pello Sport Club had played much better football throughout.
