Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Öllölänniemi's Kullervo Vapamaa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tero Niemivirta scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lasse Ukkonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Tero Niemivirta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lasse Ukkonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Öllölänniemi's Lasse Ukkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tauno Suoste in the 14th minute of play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Tero Niemivirta sped through Öllölänniemi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lasse Ukkonen. Tero Niemivirta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Ukkonen having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tero Niemivirta in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lasse Ukkonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Veli Peltomaa came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Öllölänniemi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veli Peltomaa couldn't finish the play. Lasse Ukkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauno Suoste in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tero Niemivirta in the 36th minute of play forced Öllölänniemi's goalkeeper Lasse Ukkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tauno Suoste managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tammenpää FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tauno Suoste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lasse Ukkonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tauno Suoste came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Tammenpää FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tauno Suoste couldn't finish the play. Uljas Welling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kullervo Vapamaa in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Tammenpää FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tero Niemivirta made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Tero Niemivirta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lasse Ukkonen was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Tammenpää FC's zone, Veli Peltomaa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uljas Welling came out of the goal and Veli Peltomaa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tammenpää FC's Uljas Welling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veli Peltomaa in the 56th minute of play. Tauno Suoste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Uljas Welling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kullervo Vapamaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes Tammenpää FC got a freekick which was hit by Launo Uhlbäck. In the 67th minute Öllölänniemi were awarded a corner. Martti Paatelainen went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 73rd minute, Veli Peltomaa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Öllölänniemi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Tauno Suoste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tauno Suoste fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Ukkonen having to interfere. The Tammenpää FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tammenpää FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
