With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iiro Etula prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 5 minutes, Jalmari Keskinarkaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pätiälä's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jalmari Keskinarkaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iiro Etula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niilo Lumme in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Selkie IFK's zone, Niilo Lumme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iiro Etula came out of the goal and Niilo Lumme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jalmari Keskinarkaus scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iiro Etula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 14 minutes, Taito Ojanen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pätiälä and the Selkie IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Pätiälä was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taito Ojanen to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Viitanen spun around in front of the goal 17 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pätiälä's goal. Valentin Viitanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jalmari Keskinarkaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jussi Ahosmäki took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herman Viljamaa. Herman Viljamaa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Jussi Ahosmäki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herman Viljamaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Viitanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Niilo Lumme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iiro Etula read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute Valentin Viitanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herman Viljamaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pätiälä had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
