Ahti Sihvonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lasse Mäkelä having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Merilä's Jimi Kousa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, United's goal looked a bit too open when Petri Vikström came free, but Lasse Mäkelä reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Merilä's Anselmi Furuholm got control of the ball when Orlando Salvator tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmi Furuholm came out of the goal and Orlando Salvator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Salvator was the one to do the kick off. 3-0 became the score in the 61st minute when Orlando Salvator elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Juho Torkkeli hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Orlando Salvator had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmi Furuholm. Merilä's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Salvator was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. United's Taisto Kärnä managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sampsa Kulonen in the 74 minute of the game. Ahti Sihvonen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lasse Mäkelä read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, United's Lasse Mäkelä got control of the ball when Petri Vikström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lasse Mäkelä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahti Sihvonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
