In the 8th minute of the game Ismo Setälä made a throw-in which Raimo Halonen played forward. In the 9th minute, Eruption's Juhani Pelttari ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jouni Lehto. Jouni Lehto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Roni Laaksonen hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Jouni Lehto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juhani Pelttari in the 17th minute. Vesa Sanevuori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsi Jämsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Juhani Pelttari kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jouni Lehto. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. If Simon Asteri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amedeo Anelli made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Länttä FC's Jouni Lehto. Jouni Lehto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juhani Pelttari showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roni Laaksonen was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Eruption's goalkeeper Vesa Sanevuori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsi Jämsen. Auno Huppunen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Eruption's Juhani Pelttari quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Toni Ruohiainen, made in the 67th minute of the game. After 69 minutes of play, Eruption's Juhani Pelttari made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jouni Lehto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes in the game Ismo Setälä did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Roni Laaksonen. Arsi Jämsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vesa Sanevuori having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Juhani Pelttari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Länttä FC's Jouni Lehto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juhani Pelttari in the 85th minute of play. Toni Ruohiainen charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Ruohiainen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Länttä FC's Toni Ruohiainen got a free kick in the 86th minute. Arsi Jämsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Vesa Sanevuori made a huge save. 91 minutes into the game, Amedeo Anelli threw the ball into play from the sideline. Länttä FC's Kalevi Palenius quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Juhani Pelttari scored 5-1 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jouni Lehto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
