In the 20th minute, Veijo Kiviranta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juha Karalahti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Arsi Skyttä sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Malkamäki FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ilkka Mäkiaho came free, but Petri Pylkäs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juha Karalahti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veijo Kiviranta in the 33rd minute of play. Veijo Kiviranta struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Juha Karalahti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malkamäki FC. Malkamäki FC's attack was well implemented in the 37th minute, but when Veijo Kiviranta was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. If Ilkka Mäkiaho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olli-Pekka Noronen hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Olli-Pekka Noronen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Veijo Kiviranta made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Rollen Pallokoulu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Laakkonen to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Veijo Kiviranta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malkamäki FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Veijo Kiviranta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rollen Pallokoulu's Juha Karalahti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veijo Kiviranta in the 70th minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rollen Pallokoulu's goalkeeper Juha Karalahti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Malkamäki FC's Aleksi Santahuhta got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, Rollen Pallokoulu's Ilkka Mäkiaho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petri Pylkäs was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 83 played minutes Malkamäki FC got a freekick which was hit by Aleksi Santahuhta. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Veijo Kiviranta took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Juha Karalahti to make any attempt to save it. 95 minutes into the match, Rollen Pallokoulu's goalkeeper Juha Karalahti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aleksi Santahuhta. Juha Karalahti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veijo Kiviranta in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Malkamäki FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
