With a little luck, Kostiainen IFK's Jyrki Joensuu got control of the ball when Kosti Koivula tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Kosti Koivula came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kalaholman pallo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kosti Koivula couldn't finish the play. Kosti Koivula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jyrki Joensuu came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Kalaholman pallo's Marko Kantola. But to his dismay, Marko Kantola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Nikodemus Kaven who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Kullervo Ristolainen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jyrki Joensuu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kosti Koivula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute of the match Jyri Kotilahti sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kullervo Ristolainen skillfully saved the ball. Ari Ukkonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jyrki Joensuu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kalaholman pallo had played much better football throughout.
