After some careless play in the Kiired defense, Duda Tande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yrjö Vanhatalo. The Kiired fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yrjö Vanhatalo should have stopped the shot. In the 41st minute, Kaapo Jämsen made a precise shot to the right of Yrjö Vanhatalo. Kiired's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Yrjö Vanhatalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda Tande in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Kiired was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Saravo to maneuver through the defense. Yrjö Vanhatalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aulis Vuori, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. After recieving a nice pass, Tuohikoti IFK's Kimmo Niskala tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Yrjö Vanhatalo was a little too slow when Duda Tande got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-6. After a rather tough play, Kiired's Valentin Saravo got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Kiired's goal looked a bit too open when Aulis Vuori came free, but Yrjö Vanhatalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yrjö Vanhatalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duda Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Tuohikoti IFK's Kaapo Jämsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yrjö Vanhatalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. In the 77th minute, Jorma Multaharju ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perfecto Homo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. In the 82nd minute of the match, Duda Tande tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yrjö Vanhatalo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Yrjö Vanhatalo made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Kaapo Jämsen sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Duda Tande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yrjö Vanhatalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Yrjö Vanhatalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aulis Vuori in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Tuohikoti IFK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kiired.
