After having played for 5 minutes, Heino Somervuori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soppela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heino Somervuori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Soppela FC's Lauri Pölönen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Luhtimaa in the 6th minute of play. Lauri Pölönen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Visa Kesä in the 7th minute of the match. Heino Somervuori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eetu Kinisjärvi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eerik Lahikainen got free with Eetu Kinisjärvi in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The long shot by Tuure Siltanen in the 26th minute really tested Eetu Kinisjärvi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Heino Somervuori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leas Legender's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Eerik Lahikainen scored to the left of an out of position Eetu Kinisjärvi, making the score, 1-0. In the 39th minute of the match, Heino Somervuori tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eetu Kinisjärvi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Heino Somervuori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eetu Kinisjärvi having to interfere. Leas Legender's Eetu Kinisjärvi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Leas Legender from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute, Eerik Lahikainen made a precise shot to the right of Eetu Kinisjärvi. Leas Legender's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marko Luhtimaa was the one to do the kick off. Lauri Pölönen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Visa Kesä in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leas Legender's goalkeeper Eetu Kinisjärvi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eerik Lahikainen in the 59th minute of play forced Leas Legender's goalkeeper Eetu Kinisjärvi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eerik Lahikainen in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eetu Kinisjärvi saved Leas Legender from getting behind. Lauri Pölönen made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Visa Kesä sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Leas Legender booed when Soppela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuure Siltanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Leas Legender's goal looked a bit too open when Arttu Pietilä came free, but Eetu Kinisjärvi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Visa Kesä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leas Legender's goalkeeper Eetu Kinisjärvi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eerik Lahikainen scored 3-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eetu Kinisjärvi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eetu Kinisjärvi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eerik Lahikainen in the 87th minute of play. Lauri Pölönen made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Visa Kesä sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 99 minutes into the game, when Tuure Siltanen put in a rough tackle. In the 98th minute, one of Soppela FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Soppela FC. Tommi Hana walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Soppela FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
