MICHEL:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kustaa Lahikainen went to the wrong direction when Erkki Wallenius was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Kustaa Lahikainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panu Vainio, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Pörtmossa FC's Elmer Lumme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hemminki Johansson in the 11th minute of play. Elmer Lumme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvo Nikkinen in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, ST. MICHEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hemminki Johansson to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, ST. MICHEL's Orvo Nikkinen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elmer Lumme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Pörtmossa FC booed when ST. MICHEL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaro Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmer Lumme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orvo Nikkinen went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Elmer Lumme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hemminki Johansson in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, ST. MICHEL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aarne Puhakainen to maneuver through the defense. After 43 minutes of play, ST. MICHEL's Orvo Nikkinen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elmer Lumme was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half ST. MICHEL were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erkki Wallenius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kustaa Lahikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panu Vainio in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Aarne Puhakainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Pörtmossa FC's Eerik Haarala got a free kick in the 55th minute. Panu Vainio struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Kustaa Lahikainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pörtmossa FC. Kustaa Lahikainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Lehti in the 67th minute of the match. When Pörtmossa FC's Erkki Wallenius in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ST. MICHEL's goalie prevented a goal. Kustaa Lahikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmari Kangasmäki in the 73rd minute of play. Elmer Lumme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvo Nikkinen in the 74th minute. Kustaa Lahikainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erkki Wallenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Hemminki Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
