The referee ignored Laukaa's protests and gave Ahto Vapaniemi a yellow card for diving instead. Ahto Vapaniemi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Valdemar Welling might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacop Hytönen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Welling ran back to his position shaking his head. Touko Niskala hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Valdemar Welling took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacop Hytönen. Jacop Hytönen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Tahvana Jukkola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keijo Elomo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Tahvana Jukkola sent off a good shot on target. August Sjögren charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Konsta Söderström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Laukaa's goalkeeper Jacop Hytönen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Welling in the 45th minute of play forced Laukaa's goalkeeper Jacop Hytönen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tahvana Jukkola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keijo Elomo having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Sillgren was the one to do the kick off. Keijo Elomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tahvana Jukkola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pöyhölä IFK's Valdemar Welling in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jacop Hytönen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leo Sillgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keijo Elomo having to interfere. Olli-Pekka Kaarniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacop Hytönen having to interfere. Olli-Pekka Kaarniemi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Tahvana Jukkola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keijo Elomo was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Pöyhölä IFK's Keijo Elomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Sillgren in the 89th minute of play. The Pöyhölä IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pöyhölä IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
