Jaakkima Vanhatalo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Leevi Ruuttu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Keijo Elomo. Leevi Ruuttu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Leevi Ruuttu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Keijo Elomo. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. August Sjögren kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Vesa Mattila's late challenge caught a Höstvesi IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdemar Welling kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Unto Norrena in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keijo Elomo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leevi Ruuttu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keijo Elomo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Valdemar Welling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pöyhölä IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Welling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pauli Hati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keijo Elomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leevi Ruuttu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
