The referee showed Ensio Kanto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 4 minutes into the match, Kvimo's Maurice Laakkonen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eero Niemivirta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pirkka Tervo in the 6th minute of play. Atte Toivanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sami Tuulola, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Turo Niemi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorola IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Turo Niemi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atte Toivanen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atte Toivanen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sami Tuulola's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Atte Toivanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Tuulola in the 23rd minute of the match. Eero Niemivirta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pirkka Tervo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sami Tuulola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atte Toivanen having to interfere. Sami Tuulola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Atte Toivanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pirkka Tervo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Eero Niemivirta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pirkka Tervo in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siffred Hietalahti got free with Eero Niemivirta in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 minutes, Pietari Puhakainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sorola IFK and the Kvimo players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Siffred Hietalahti came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Kvimo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siffred Hietalahti couldn't finish the play. Sorola IFK's Eero Niemivirta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pirkka Tervo in the 64th minute of play. Joel Viander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eero Niemivirta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pirkka Tervo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Siffred Hietalahti succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 72nd playminute. Sami Tuulola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sorola IFK's zone, Siffred Hietalahti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eero Niemivirta came out of the goal and Siffred Hietalahti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sorola IFK getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Kaapro Jämsen hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
