Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aarno Höök started the match with the kick off. Aarno Höök blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manne Kauppinen having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aarno Höök in the 12th minute of play forced Kosklahti's goalkeeper Manne Kauppinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sampsa Kivi hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, Kosklahti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Kuoppala to maneuver through the defense. Aarno Höök sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kosklahti's goalkeeper Manne Kauppinen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Kosklahti got a freekick which was hit by Eemil Niskanen. Manne Kauppinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aarno Höök in the 22nd minute of play. Sampsa Kivi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Juhani Voutilainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskari Jämsänen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikodemus Salomaa in the 31st minute of play forced Kosklahti's goalkeeper Manne Kauppinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Aarno Höök fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eimisjärvi IFK's protests and gave Aarno Höök a yellow card for diving instead. Aarno Höök hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Jorma Ryynänen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aadolf Reinikainen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oskari Jämsänen having to make a save. After some careless play in the Eimisjärvi IFK defense, Aadolf Reinikainen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oskari Jämsänen. The Eimisjärvi IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oskari Jämsänen should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Aarno Höök recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oskari Jämsänen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juhani Voutilainen in the 58th minute. If Juhani Voutilainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Kosklahti defense, Kaapo Vähäsavo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manne Kauppinen. The Kosklahti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manne Kauppinen should have stopped the shot. Kaapo Vähäsavo might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manne Kauppinen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaapo Vähäsavo ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aarno Höök in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manne Kauppinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the game, Kaapo Vähäsavo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Manne Kauppinen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorma Ryynänen charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorma Ryynänen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Eimisjärvi IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorma Ryynänen to maneuver through the defense. The Kosklahti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kosklahti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
