Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hannes Ruutu started the match with the kick off. When Jaakob Laaksonen fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kolsila IFK's protests and gave Jaakob Laaksonen a yellow card for diving instead. Jaakob Laaksonen hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Kolsila IFK's Leo Keinänen got control of the ball when Eero Valkama tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toni Santala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvi Salermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eero Valkama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Keinänen having to interfere. Hemmo Karhu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toni Santala having to make a save. After 21 played minutes Kolsila IFK got a freekick which was hit by Jani Saksinen. In the 24th minute, Eero Valkama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ärvings FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Leo Keinänen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Ruutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Leo Keinänen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Ruutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ärvings FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Taisto Helavuori hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Alvi Salermo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ärvings FC's Toni Santala. Toni Santala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kolsila IFK's Leo Keinänen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Ruutu in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hemmo Karhu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Eero Valkama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Keinänen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Ruutu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Keinänen having to interfere. If Alvi Salermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Keinänen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Ruutu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 68th minute, Hemmo Karhu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alvi Salermo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Toni Santala made a huge save. Alvi Salermo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Toni Santala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Uolevi Myllynen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Kolsila IFK's Jani Saksinen tried to score from far away in the 81st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Uolevi Myllynen kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Ärvings FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaakkima Pirnes.
