Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aimo Olkkonen kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute Aimo Olkkonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha Pettinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Rami Latvanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juha-Pekka Äijälä hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Taipelus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antti Jousmäki to maneuver through the defense. Taipelus's Juha Pettinen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aimo Olkkonen in the 15th minute of play. Paavo Vehanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joonatan Nummelin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olli Lindfors read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ostronsaari's goalkeeper Olli Lindfors, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paavo Vehanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olli Lindfors having to interfere. Miika Kuuttinen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olli Lindfors. Ostronsaari's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aimo Olkkonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Juha Pettinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Antti Jousmäki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aimo Olkkonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taipelus's goalkeeper Juha Pettinen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olli Lindfors showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juha Pettinen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aimo Olkkonen's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Taipelus's Joonatan Nummelin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olli Lindfors narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heino Vihko during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Ostronsaari's zone, Joonatan Nummelin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olli Lindfors came out of the goal and Joonatan Nummelin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Joonatan Nummelin came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Taipelus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joonatan Nummelin couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Joonatan Nummelin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
