Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuel Miinalainen started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Parkas getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Eetu Leppänen hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Venejärvi IFK's Tapani Okkonen tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Samuel Miinalainen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Visa Holappa, 1-0. If Vilho Hyökyvaara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Venejärvi IFK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ossi Järvenperä hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Vilho Hyökyvaara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parkas's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilho Hyökyvaara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Visa Holappa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Visa Holappa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilho Hyökyvaara in the 30th minute. Parkas's Hannes Kotilahti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyrki Peltonen in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes, Jyrki Peltonen made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Parkas's Hannes Kotilahti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaj Korkeamäki's late challenge caught a Parkas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaj Korkeamäki helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Parkas booed when Venejärvi IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaj Korkeamäki didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jyrki Peltonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Samuel Miinalainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Visa Holappa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jyrki Peltonen to make the kick off. Samuel Miinalainen took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Visa Holappa. Visa Holappa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Hannes Kotilahti made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ali Grönholm sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the game, Iiro Lahti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venejärvi IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parkas the free kick. In the 66th minute, Jyrki Peltonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tapani Okkonen charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tapani Okkonen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Visa Holappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Miinalainen in the 78th minute of play. Ali Grönholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannes Kotilahti having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Jyrki Peltonen rounded Parkas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. Hannes Kotilahti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Grönholm went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Visa Holappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Miinalainen in the 93rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jukka Ranne during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Venejärvi IFK got a freekick which was hit by Jukka Ranne. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venejärvi IFK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
