Pertti Karalahti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anttoni Pitkänen went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 11 minutes into the match, Sasi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pirkka Vehanen came free, but Pertti Karalahti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pirkka Vehanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pertti Karalahti having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kylmäaho's Toni Numminen got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Taavetti Hartikainen got free with Salomo Litja in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Sasi FC booed when Kylmäaho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tatu Haapaniemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salomo Litja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aarne Nurminen in the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Sasi FC defense, Anttoni Pitkänen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pertti Karalahti. The Sasi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pertti Karalahti should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Anttoni Pitkänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pertti Karalahti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salomo Litja didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sasi FC's Taavetti Hartikainen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Aarne Nurminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salomo Litja having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Kylmäaho's goal looked a bit too open when Aarne Nurminen came free, but Salomo Litja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sasi FC's zone, Pirkka Vehanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pertti Karalahti came out of the goal and Pirkka Vehanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pertti Karalahti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anttoni Pitkänen in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match Olli-Pekka Kuivaharju sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salomo Litja skillfully saved the ball. Pertti Karalahti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anttoni Pitkänen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pirkka Vehanen to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Kylmäaho's goal looked a bit too open when Taavetti Hartikainen came free, but Salomo Litja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anttoni Pitkänen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Pertti Karalahti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kylmäaho's goalkeeper Salomo Litja, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salomo Litja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taavetti Hartikainen in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute, Aarne Nurminen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anttoni Pitkänen got free with Pertti Karalahti in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juhani Myötänen kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pirkka Vehanen in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pertti Karalahti saved Sasi FC from getting behind. Anttoni Pitkänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Pertti Karalahti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aarne Nurminen came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sasi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aarne Nurminen couldn't finish the play. Sasi FC's Taavetti Hartikainen got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Terho Ristolainen struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Salomo Litja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sasi FC. Aarne Nurminen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Salomo Litja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Kylmäaho's Pirkka Vehanen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pertti Karalahti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kylmäaho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
