Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aki Niemi got the match started through his kick off. Arvi Laaksonen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Eljas Koivumäki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aki Niemi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kimi Ollonen fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villamo IFK's protests and gave Kimi Ollonen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Villamo IFK booed when Hakametsä IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juhana Koivuporras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Hakametsä IFK got a freekick which was hit by Juhana Koivuporras. If Raino Pynnönen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. When Raino Kaipainen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Hakametsä IFK fans jumped to their feet. If Arvi Laaksonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Raino Kaipainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hakametsä IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raino Kaipainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Arvi Laaksonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Raino Pynnönen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villamo IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Raino Pynnönen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eljas Koivumäki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raino Kaipainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Aki Niemi took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Lasse Määttä to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aki Niemi got free with Lasse Määttä in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lasse Määttä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aki Niemi in the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute Aki Niemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Määttä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Arvi Laaksonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Villamo IFK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hakametsä IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Hakametsä IFK.
