If Ville Koskinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, FC Hupiukot's goal looked a bit too open when Ville Koskinen came free, but Erno Kangasmäki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Valtteri Jalkanen fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rönnhem's protests and gave Valtteri Jalkanen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rönnhem booed when FC Hupiukot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hemminki Katila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erno Kangasmäki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmer Noponen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ville Koskinen in the 20th minute of play forced FC Hupiukot's goalkeeper Erno Kangasmäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Elmer Noponen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erno Kangasmäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erno Kangasmäki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ville Koskinen in the 32nd minute of play. Erno Kangasmäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ville Koskinen in the 35th minute of the match. Heikki Grahn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd match minute, FC Hupiukot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kimi Porokara to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Eelis Kujanpää sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erno Kangasmäki skillfully saved the ball. Erno Kangasmäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elmer Noponen in the 45th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Heikki Grahn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ville Koskinen made a kick off. Ville Koskinen succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Jaakoppi Grönvall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rönnhem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaakoppi Grönvall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erno Kangasmäki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elmer Noponen got free with Erno Kangasmäki in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paavo Nutikka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Jonas Saarinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Hupiukot's Alpi Salmela got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute of the match, Ville Koskinen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erno Kangasmäki saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jonas Saarinen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jussi Palander in the 78th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Kimi Porokara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hupiukot and the Rönnhem players grew even worse after the yellow card. 96 minutes into the game, Rönnhem's Ville Koskinen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erno Kangasmäki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The FC Hupiukot fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rönnhem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
