Torsti Rautee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perttu Nyyssönen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iikka Lumijärvi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Jami Immonen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ari Anttila might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jami Immonen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ari Anttila ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julius Harikkala during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Julius Harikkala kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Santeri Harjanne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Lopenkyllastyny's goal looked a bit too open when Keijo Oksa came free, but Torsti Rautee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arttu Peteri came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lopenkyllastyny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arttu Peteri couldn't finish the play. Manninkangas IFK's Jami Immonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Anttila in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tino Paappanen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsti Rautee was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Arttu Peteri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Manninkangas IFK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tino Paappanen made the kick off in the second half. Ari Anttila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jami Immonen having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Lopenkyllastyny's goal looked a bit too open when Tino Paappanen came free, but Torsti Rautee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Keijo Oksa could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Torsti Rautee however easily saved by the left post. In the 75th minute, Manninkangas IFK's Tino Paappanen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Torsti Rautee. Torsti Rautee yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Keijo Oksa came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Torsti Rautee could save by the left post. Auno Puurula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Manninkangas IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manninkangas IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
