A collision led to Amurin Tiikerit FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Antti Virta hit a great ball. Valio Myllykoski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Viander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Jukka-Pekka Airisto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heino Pitkämäki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Onni Tuomisaari hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 14 played minutes, Amurin Tiikerit FC's Henri Luoma shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Heino Pitkämäki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amurin Tiikerit FC reached it. When Jukka-Pekka Airisto came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Amurin Tiikerit FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jukka-Pekka Airisto couldn't finish the play. Ristilä FC's Heino Pitkämäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ale Piekkanen in the 18th minute of play. Valentin Viander made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Valio Myllykoski sent off a good shot on target. Valio Myllykoski in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valentin Viander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Valentin Viander made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Valio Myllykoski sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute of the match Armas Huhtiniemi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Viander skillfully saved the ball. Kaarlo Saastamoinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kaarlo Saastamoinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Viander having to interfere. Ale Piekkanen struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Heino Pitkämäki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amurin Tiikerit FC. Ristilä FC's Kaarlo Saastamoinen got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ale Piekkanen to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Valio Myllykoski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Viander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kaarlo Saastamoinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Viander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaarlo Saastamoinen in the 57th minute of play. Valentin Viander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onni Tuomisaari in the 59th minute of the match. Valio Myllykoski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Valentin Viander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ristilä FC's Kaarlo Saastamoinen in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ristilä FC's Valio Myllykoski got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kalle Kärnä hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Valentin Viander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valio Myllykoski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaarlo Saastamoinen in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Viander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 minutes, Esko Meltoranta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amurin Tiikerit FC and the Ristilä FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Amurin Tiikerit FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esko Meltoranta to maneuver through the defense. Valio Myllykoski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Viander having to interfere. Heino Pitkämäki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ale Piekkanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Nuutti Malmivaara charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuutti Malmivaara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Amurin Tiikerit FC! Amurin Tiikerit FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
