Miko Peltola acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iivo Rahikainen. If Raimo Eloranta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Veikko Hakala's late challenge caught a Ylämaa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veikko Hakala helped the player get up and apologised. Ylämaa's Raimo Eloranta got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ylämaa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Aleksi Kuuri hit a great ball. Aaron Nummelin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimo Eloranta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Raimo Eloranta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ylämaa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimo Eloranta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Akseli Timoska made the kick off in the second half. Timo Repo kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Raimo Eloranta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Nummelin having to interfere. Niilo Myllys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miko Peltola having to interfere. Raimo Eloranta struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Aaron Nummelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ylämaa. Aaron Nummelin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Samuli Luotonen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 67 minute of play. Raimo Eloranta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Aaron Nummelin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
