Erno Rantanen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Valto Paaso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 36th minute, Elmer Malinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ilkka Tervo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Ilkka Tervo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimo Koivuporras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elmer Malinen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimo Koivuporras having to make a save. Elmer Malinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Raimo Koivuporras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sodankyulya FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Partsinmaa FC were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Untamo Jansson to strike the kick off in the second half. Päiviö Kapanen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Elmer Malinen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Partsinmaa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elmer Malinen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elmer Malinen struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Raimo Koivuporras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Partsinmaa FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ilkka Tervo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Partsinmaa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilkka Tervo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimo Koivuporras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Sodankyulya FC's Raimo Koivuporras got control of the ball when Elmer Malinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Elmer Malinen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimo Koivuporras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. If Sulho Askolin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erno Rantanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valto Paaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Untamo Jansson in the 96th minute of play. Partsinmaa FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
