Partsinmaa FC's Elmer Malinen managed to work through Ronianemi's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Elmer Malinen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Ilkka Tervo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ronianemi getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Markku Jaakola hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Elmer Malinen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Sami Järvenpää made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilkka Tervo in the 54th minute of play forced Ronianemi's goalkeeper Pellervo Kaltiainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elmer Malinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Pellervo Kaltiainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pellervo Kaltiainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilkka Tervo in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Partsinmaa FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ilkka Tervo hit a great ball. Ronianemi's Sami Järvenpää got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilkka Tervo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pellervo Kaltiainen having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ilkka Tervo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pellervo Kaltiainen saved Ronianemi from getting behind. Elmer Malinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pellervo Kaltiainen having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urho Latvanen got free with Valto Paaso in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ilkka Tervo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronianemi succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Partsinmaa FC had controlled the match.
