Tiirinlahti IFK's Tero Lahti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atro Eklund in the 22nd minute of play. Tero Lahti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atro Eklund in the 24th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Ossi Anttila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tero Lahti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atro Eklund's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Mylly's Miko Takala got control of the ball when Juha Lehkosuo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Samuli Puhakainen made a kick off. Miko Takala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Risto Mikkonen in the 56th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Sulo Valkealahti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mylly's supporters rose to their feet, but Sulo Valkealahti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tero Lahti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tero Lahti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulo Valkealahti in the 61st minute of the match. Atro Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Risto Mikkonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mylly players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tiirinlahti IFK.
