Kardrag IFK's Ahvo Koponen got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alpi Olkkonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eevert Vanhatalo having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahvo Koponen made a kick off. Henri Miinalainen made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Antto Mäkiaho sent off a good shot on target. Henri Miinalainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskari Mäntylä, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antto Mäkiaho got free with Henri Miinalainen in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harjuranta's Eevert Vanhatalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahvo Koponen in the 62nd minute of play. If Ahvo Koponen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Alpi Olkkonen sped through Harjuranta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eevert Vanhatalo. If Oskari Mäntylä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eevert Vanhatalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 2-2 became the score in the 96th minute when Antto Mäkiaho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
