In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaarlela's goalkeeper Aappo Rämö, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ilppo Rintala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimo Kuoppala's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. A collision led to Kaarlela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Onni Oravainen hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Nikodemus Kukkamäki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aappo Rämö showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Onni Oravainen kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pellervo Pietikäinen in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aappo Rämö saved Kaarlela from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Kaarlela's Henri Järvenperä got a free kick in the 26th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Kaarlela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Taikinaho FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Aappo Rämö, was totally fooled by Taikinaho FC's Nikodemus Kukkamäki, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Viljami Multaharju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santeri Laitila kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Hannu Kalliokoski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taikinaho FC's Ilppo Rintala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iikka Karjalainen in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pellervo Pietikäinen to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Taikinaho FC were awarded a corner. Nikodemus Kukkamäki went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Taikinaho FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Reino Reinikka hit a great ball. Raimo Kuoppala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hannu Kalliokoski scored 2-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aappo Rämö, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Raimo Kuoppala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Järventie struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Aappo Rämö didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taikinaho FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pellervo Pietikäinen in the 72nd minute of play forced Kaarlela's goalkeeper Aappo Rämö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Hannu Kalliokoski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hannu Kalliokoski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aappo Rämö having to interfere. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaarlela's goalkeeper Aappo Rämö, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pellervo Pietikäinen in the 87th minute of play forced Kaarlela's goalkeeper Aappo Rämö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st match minute, Taikinaho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sipi Lagerblom to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Järventie charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A hard shot 98 in the game by Viljami Multaharju from a close distance when the talented Ilppo Rintala managed to make a qualified save. Taikinaho FC's players were relieved. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Taikinaho FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kaarlela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
