The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jukka Sivonen during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute Otto Salomaa suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Simo Nurmi's late challenge caught a Suela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Pertti Salmela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alpi Kiviharju tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Sylvesteri Vilmunen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kosola IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sylvesteri Vilmunen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th match minute, Suela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orvo Numminen to maneuver through the defense. When Sylvesteri Vilmunen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Kosola IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvesteri Vilmunen couldn't finish the play. Leevi Kauppila hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Sylvesteri Vilmunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the match, Pertti Salmela notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Suela's Alpi Kiviharju. Alpi Kiviharju was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Elias Metsäranta fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kosola IFK's protests and gave Elias Metsäranta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56thth minute of the game Sylvesteri Vilmunen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Suela's Alpi Kiviharju was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Sylvesteri Vilmunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alpi Kiviharju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylvesteri Vilmunen in the 64th minute of play. Sylvesteri Vilmunen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alpi Kiviharju having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Sylvesteri Vilmunen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alpi Kiviharju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sylvesteri Vilmunen in the 81st minute of the match. Olli Parkkali kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Elias Metsäranta got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
