Janne Tuuri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 24 minutes of play, Jokimökki IFK's Jaakko Liimatainen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Janne Tuuri was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute of the match, Jaakko Liimatainen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Janne Tuuri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Jokimökki IFK's Pekka Kukkamäki got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tavola's Janne Tuuri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Tavola from getting a goal against them. Jokimökki IFK's Jaakko Liimatainen got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mika Heinikallio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Tavola's Janne Tuuri got control of the ball when Jaakko Liimatainen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elmer Skyttä stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Janne Tuuri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaakko Liimatainen in the 58th minute of the match. Tavola's Janne Tuuri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmer Skyttä in the 60th minute of play. Eeli Sulonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Jokimökki IFK getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Vilho Räsänen hit a great ball. Mika Heinikallio struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Päiviö Bruun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tavola. The long shot by Atro Pikkarainen in the 77th minute really tested Päiviö Bruun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Elmer Skyttä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Tavola's goal looked a bit too open when Elmer Skyttä came free, but Janne Tuuri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaakko Liimatainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Topi Liimatainen during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Jokimökki IFK booed when Tavola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Topi Liimatainen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
