Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Teemu Lumio got the match started through his kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Nuijamaa's goalkeeper Antti Ylönen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarkko Turunen. Aleksis Ylönen struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Juha Sulin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuijamaa. If Aleksis Ylönen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Harri Sjögren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juha Sulin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Teemu Lumio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lappea's supporters rose to their feet, but Teemu Lumio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antti Ylönen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39thth minute of the game Harri Sjögren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lappea's Juha Sulin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 40 played minutes Lappea got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Ristilä. After 41 played minutes, Nuijamaa's Elmer Rantanen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Juha Sulin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nuijamaa reached it. In the 45th minute of the match Samuli Etula shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juha Sulin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Lappea getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Valdemar Ristilä hit a great ball. Lappea's Juha Sulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksis Ylönen in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Nuijamaa were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nuijamaa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 95th minute, Aleksis Ylönen made a precise shot to the right of Juha Sulin. Lappea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3.
