When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jesse Salermo sped through Lappea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Juha Sulin. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teemu Lumio made a kick off. Raimo Sulku showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teemu Lumio, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Lappea got a corner. Parpola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olli-Pekka Marttila ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Jarmo Kokko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Parpola's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Teemu Lumio 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Olli-Pekka Marttila kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Jesse Salermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juha Sulin having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Kasperi Elomo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teemu Lumio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesse Salermo might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juha Sulin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesse Salermo ran back to his position shaking his head. Eevert Ruutu was shown his second yellow card after 97 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Parpola's Eevert Ruutu got a free kick in the 98th minute.
