PR Merkkausvirhe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Alfred Vihermäki scored to the left of an out of position Akseli Sulku, making the score, 1-0. After some careless play in the Sundet FC defense, Jyri Etula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keijo Reponen. The Sundet FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keijo Reponen should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Sundet FC's Elmeri Kylmänen got a free kick in the 15th minute. When PR Merkkausvirhe's Joakim Lumme in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. PR Merkkausvirhe's Akseli Sulku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Vihermäki in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Jyri Etula ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keijo Reponen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Keijo Reponen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jyri Etula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keijo Reponen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jyri Etula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The referee gave PR Merkkausvirhe a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tommi Palo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sundet FC's Keijo Reponen. 2-3. Joakim Lumme might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keijo Reponen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joakim Lumme ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joakim Lumme made a kick off. Sundet FC's Keijo Reponen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Sundet FC from getting a goal against them. PR Merkkausvirhe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tommi Palo in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, PR Merkkausvirhe's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Vihermäki came free, but Akseli Sulku reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Sundet FC's goalkeeper Keijo Reponen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joakim Lumme. After 66 played minutes, Sundet FC's Ohto Koistinen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Akseli Sulku came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sundet FC reached it. In the 67th minute, Tommi Palo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfred Vihermäki in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akseli Sulku prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 played minutes Sundet FC got a freekick which was hit by Rauno Markkanen. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joakim Lumme got free with Keijo Reponen in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Jyri Etula recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Keijo Reponen. Jyri Etula showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Joakim Lumme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Keijo Reponen made a huge save. PR Merkkausvirhe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
