Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kaarlo Kampman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Petes IFK's Alvar Nitti got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aki Tähtinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaarlo Kampman in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikael Puumala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Petes IFK's Voitto Huppunen got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Rattosjärvi's Kaarlo Kampman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Kaarlo Kampman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mikael Puumala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaarlo Kampman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes, Juhapekka Lundell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petes IFK and the Rattosjärvi players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Petes IFK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Juhapekka Lundell hit a great ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Oiva Viljamaa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rattosjärvi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oiva Viljamaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Oiva Viljamaa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Kaarlo Kampman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Puumala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petes IFK's Mikael Puumala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarlo Kampman in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Oiva Viljamaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alvar Nitti might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sami Snellman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvar Nitti ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaarlo Kampman in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mikael Puumala saved Petes IFK from getting behind. Petes IFK's Mikael Puumala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarlo Kampman in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvar Nitti to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Oiva Viljamaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rattosjärvi's supporters rose to their feet, but Oiva Viljamaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Puumala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kaarlo Kampman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mikael Puumala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Kaarlo Kampman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rattosjärvi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Aki Tähtinen scored 2-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sami Snellman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Alvar Nitti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sami Snellman was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuukka Nieminen during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Kaarlo Kampman fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rattosjärvi's protests and gave Kaarlo Kampman a yellow card for diving instead. Arho Hänninen kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Petes IFK's Aki Tähtinen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sami Snellman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esko Rahkonen during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Petes IFK's Mikael Puumala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaarlo Kampman in the 94th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
