The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Maqusa's goal looked a bit too open when Kareem Mohab came free, but Emam Zaky reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emam Zaky took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kareem Mohab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rasheed Badr recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abbas Safwat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Emam Zaky tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match Ibrahim Deyab shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gameel Rateb showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Qahbunah's goal looked a bit too open when Rasheed Badr came free, but Gameel Rateb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kareem Mohab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emam Zaky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kareem Mohab, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Kareem Mohab ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emam Zaky was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Saleh El-Yamani kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gameel Rateb. That made the score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Qahbunah's Gameel Rateb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rateb Moheb in the 54th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Qahbunah's Adel Gaser nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emam Zaky made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Emam Zaky made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kareem Mohab in the 69th minute of play. Rasheed Badr struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gameel Rateb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maqusa. After a rather tough play, Maqusa's Yehia Farouk got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes, Qahbunah's Shehab Mahmoud shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emam Zaky came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Qahbunah reached it. Qahbunah's Gameel Rateb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rateb Moheb in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Maqusa's Rasheed Badr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gameel Rateb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Maqusa defense, Adel Gaser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emam Zaky. The Maqusa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emam Zaky should have stopped the shot.
