Nayef Hamdy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amgad Alaa having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nayef Hamdy got free with Amgad Alaa in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fares's Samer Hakeem got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Nayef Hamdy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amgad Alaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samer Hakeem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aebeed Yehia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atef Shady in the 36th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Nayef Hamdy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tisfa's Amgad Alaa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amgad Alaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nayef Hamdy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Samer Hakeem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied.
