In the 12th minute, Lateef Mido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lateef Mido got free with Hanafy Reda in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hanafy Reda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basyouny Samy in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lateef Mido in the 31st minute of play forced Shishta's goalkeeper Hanafy Reda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mahgoub Sabry came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Shishta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mahgoub Sabry couldn't finish the play. Shishta's Mustafa Talaat got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Hanafy El-Ghandour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Basyouny Samy came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Simman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basyouny Samy couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 51st minute, Lateef Mido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Simman fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, Shishta's Barakat Rateb got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Lateef Mido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hanafy Reda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basyouny Samy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hanafy Reda having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Simman got a freekick which was hit by Mourad El-hadary. Mubarak Maged took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahgoub Sabry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lateef Mido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Hosny Baher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hosny Baher hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Simman's goalkeeper Mubarak Maged had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mustafa Talaat. After having played for 89 minutes, Basyouny Samy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basyouny Samy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Simman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lateef Mido to maneuver through the defense. The Simman support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
