The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Shehta Monzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osama Mahmoud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taha Waheed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Qasem Nassef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taha Waheed in the 15th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Shamandil fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Talha a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fahmy Nabil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shamandil's Qasem Nassef. 0-1. Shehta Monzer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Qasem Medhat in the 35th minute.

52 minutes into the match, Talha's goal looked a bit too open when Qasem Medhat came free, but Shehta Monzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Qasem Medhat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osama Mahmoud in the 57th minute of play forced Talha's goalkeeper Shehta Monzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shamandil's Osama Mahmoud got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ayman Othman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Qasem Nassef made a huge save. When Ayman Othman came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Talha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ayman Othman couldn't finish the play. If Taha Waheed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Talha's Taha Waheed nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Qasem Nassef made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 76 minutes into the match, Qasem Medhat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shehta Monzer. Talha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Qasem Medhat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 81st minute, Osama Mahmoud made a precise shot to the right of Shehta Monzer. Talha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. With a little luck, Shamandil's Qasem Nassef got control of the ball when Ayman Othman tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Osama Mahmoud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Osama Mahmoud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shehta Monzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osama Mahmoud might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shehta Monzer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osama Mahmoud ran back to his position shaking his head. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
