Ashraf Badr came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Farouk Hassan could save by the left post. After having played for 17 minutes, Ali Fadel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Damanhour's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Fadel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bahaa Magdy couldn't finish the play. After 39 played minutes Sibirbai got a freekick which was hit by Khalil Waheed. Fayez Saad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdel Monsef Ameen in the 41st minute of the match. After 45 minutes, Nagy Hisham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sibirbai and the Damanhour players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Damanhour booed when Sibirbai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nagy Hisham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bahaa Magdy was the one to do the kick off. Sibirbai's Fayez Saad proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Sibirbai from getting a goal against them. Abdel Monsef Ameen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abdel Monsef Ameen got free with Fayez Saad in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fayez Saad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Fadel, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ali Fadel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 61st playminute. In the 65th minute of the match Basel El-Sayed sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Farouk Hassan skillfully saved the ball. Fayez Saad was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Ali Fadel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ali Fadel really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 92nd minute, Abdel Monsef Ameen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fayez Saad was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After 95 minutes of play Damanhour's Aebeed Tawfeek was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 96th match minute, Damanhour was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aebeed Tawfeek to maneuver through the defense. The Sibirbai supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Damanhour's performance. The match ended with a win for Damanhour.
