Farouk El-Sayed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nabil Ayoub took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zaky Faisal. Zaky Faisal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mustafa El-Shater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nayef Burhan charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nayef Burhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Helwan getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nayef Burhan hit a great ball. Zaky Faisal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa El-Shater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Helwan's goal looked a bit too open when Nabil Ayoub came free, but Zaky Faisal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nabil Ayoub was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yousif Abdel Wahab during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lateef Mohammed's late challenge caught a Helwan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lateef Mohammed helped the player get up and apologised. Lateef Mohammed kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 62 played minutes, Helwan's Hamada Mamdouh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thabit Salah came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Helwan reached it. 64 minutes into the match, Farouk El-Sayed had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thabit Salah. Qirimlah's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Farouk El-Sayed was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nabil Ayoub in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zaky Faisal saved Helwan from getting behind. Mounir El-Sakka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Thabit Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Qirimlah got a freekick which was hit by Lateef Mohammed. In a very dangerous position, a player in Qirimlah fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Qirimlah's Lateef Mohammed got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Farouk El-Sayed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Qirimlah's Thabit Salah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Qirimlah getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Nabil Ayoub hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Helwan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Qirimlah had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
