Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 4 minutes into the match, Akoris's goal looked a bit too open when Nabil Ayoub came free, but Talaat Abdel Wahab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monzer Islam kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Thabit Salah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gomaa Desouqy in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Qirimlah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramy Mowafak to maneuver through the defense. Saad Hassan charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saad Hassan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Akoris getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Saad Hassan hit a great ball. Metwaly Kareem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Thabit Salah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Monzer Islam during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Qirimlah booed when Akoris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monzer Islam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talaat Abdel Wahab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nabil Ayoub in the 29th minute of the match. Thabit Salah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Metwaly Kareem, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Akoris's zone, Nabil Ayoub stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Talaat Abdel Wahab came out of the goal and Nabil Ayoub tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Akoris's Metwaly Kareem in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Qirimlah's goalie prevented a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Lateef Mohammed was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qirimlah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akoris the free kick. A collision led to Qirimlah getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Lateef Mohammed hit a great ball. Akoris's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zaky Yousry in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nabil Ayoub to make the kick off. If Gomaa Desouqy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nabil Ayoub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talaat Abdel Wahab having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gomaa Desouqy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Akoris's supporters rose to their feet, but Gomaa Desouqy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thabit Salah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Akoris getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Monzer Islam hit a great ball. Akoris's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
