Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gamara's Safwat Kamal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Shi`sha` getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Hazem Hany hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Safwat Kamal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mourad Haitham was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Gamara's zone, Fikry El-Sayed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahy Adel came out of the goal and Fikry El-Sayed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Shi`sha` booed when Gamara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fareed Bahy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gamara's Bahy Adel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fikry El-Sayed in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Fikry El-Sayed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahy Adel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gamara getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Fareed Bahy hit a great ball. Fadel Moamen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Bahy Adel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Safwat Kamal in the 21st minute of play forced Shi`sha`'s goalkeeper Mourad Haitham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fikry El-Sayed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahy Adel having to interfere. After some careless play in the Shi`sha` defense, Safwat Kamal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mourad Haitham. The Shi`sha` fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mourad Haitham should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fikry El-Sayed in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bahy Adel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bahy Adel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fadel Moamen in the 40th minute. Bahy Adel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 41st minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Fikry El-Sayed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shi`sha`'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fikry El-Sayed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Gamara defense, Fadel Moamen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bahy Adel. The Gamara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bahy Adel should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Gamara's Safwat Kamal got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Shi`sha`'s Mourad Haitham got control of the ball when Raslan Shady tried to sneak it across the goal line. Safwat Kamal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Gamara's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fares Basyouny kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fadel Moamen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shi`sha`'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fadel Moamen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahy Adel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Safwat Kamal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Raslan Shady came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Gamara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raslan Shady couldn't finish the play. Fareed Bahy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fikry El-Sayed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bahy Adel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mourad Haitham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Safwat Kamal in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Shi`sha` was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mamdouh Burhan to maneuver through the defense. When Raslan Shady came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Gamara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raslan Shady couldn't finish the play. Salem Raslan kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Shi`sha` were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gamara for a fine match.
