Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Maged Zaky started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Alaa Rateb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Abnud's Ayman Deyab broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Abnud booed when Ismailieh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atef Ameen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Ismailieh got a freekick which was hit by Rabie Osama. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saleh Ahmed in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magdy Shehta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magdy Shehta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Badr Osama, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Atef Ameen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osama Talaat having to make a save. Osama Talaat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maged Zaky in the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Abnud's zone, Atef Ameen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osama Talaat came out of the goal and Atef Ameen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osama Talaat made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Atef Ameen sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Abnud's zone, Maged Zaky stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osama Talaat came out of the goal and Maged Zaky tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magdy Shehta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Badr Osama in the 45th minute of play. Badr Osama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saleh Ahmed made a kick off. A collision led to Ismailieh getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Emad Hakeem hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ismailieh's Mowafak Gaser got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Atef Ameen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ismailieh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atef Ameen couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Maged Zaky got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atef Ameen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maged Zaky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osama Talaat having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Ismailieh's Atef Ameen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osama Talaat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Ismailieh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabie Osama to maneuver through the defense. Osama Talaat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atef Ameen, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nasir Yasser during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Abnud getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nasir Yasser hit a great ball. Maged Zaky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osama Talaat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atef Ameen in the 85th minute of play. Badr Osama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Abnud supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Abnud would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
