Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Hisham Ahmed made the kick off and thus started the match. Nizar Zagloul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sameeh Mohab in the 4th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sameeh Mohab got free with Nizar Zagloul in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thur's Nizar Zagloul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaky Deyab in the 7th minute of play. Nizar Zagloul made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Sameeh Mohab sent off a good shot on target. 12 minutes into the match, Zaky Deyab dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nizar Zagloul, 1-0. Sameeh Mohab struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Nizar Zagloul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khamis. Sameeh Mohab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nizar Zagloul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zaky Deyab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nizar Zagloul having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Thur's goal looked a bit too open when Zaky Deyab came free, but Nizar Zagloul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sameeh Mohab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sameeh Mohab might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nizar Zagloul. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sameeh Mohab ran back to his position shaking his head. Metwaly Hossam hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Yassine Mahmoud shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saad Abdel Monsef showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Thur:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Khamis:s goal. Nagy Ramadan shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Sameeh Mohab managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khamis's supporters rose to their feet, but Sameeh Mohab was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nizar Zagloul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Ramez Mahgoub hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hisham Ahmed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saad Abdel Monsef having to interfere. Thur's Zidan Hazem got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Khamis's zone, Hisham Ahmed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saad Abdel Monsef came out of the goal and Hisham Ahmed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zaky Deyab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Thur's goal looked a bit too open when Zaky Deyab came free, but Nizar Zagloul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zidan Hazem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zidan Hazem came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Thur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zidan Hazem couldn't finish the play. In the 96th match minute, Thur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darweesh Fadel to maneuver through the defense. After 97 played minutes, Khamis's Nagy Ramadan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nizar Zagloul came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Khamis reached it. After a rather tough play, Thur's Khalil Hany got a free kick in the 98th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Khamis fans cheered their team off the field, for while Thur had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
