Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Salem Sallam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sallam Raouf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saleh Ali in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mourad Bakr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Shams Salem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salem Sallam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matay's Hanafy Metwaly couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bawiti. Hashem Yousif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mourad Bakr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Matay's Saleh Ali nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mourad Bakr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sallam Raouf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Matay got a freekick which was hit by Islam Ali. A hard and well directed shot from Mourad Ghanem led 36 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Matay's Salem Sallam became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-2. Yasser Abu Trika charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yasser Abu Trika the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sallam Raouf stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hashem Yousif in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mourad Bakr, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 58th minute, Sallam Raouf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shams Salem in the 60th minute of play forced Matay's goalkeeper Salem Sallam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salem Sallam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shams Salem, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Hanafy Metwaly hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Mourad Ghanem, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 66th minute, Moamen Belal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Bawiti's zone, Hashem Yousif stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mourad Bakr came out of the goal and Hashem Yousif tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Bawiti got a freekick which was hit by Ziyad Essam. 72 minutes into the game, Ziyad Essam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bawiti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matay the free kick. Ziyad Essam hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bawiti's Mourad Bakr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Bawiti from getting a goal against them. Shams Salem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salem Sallam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sallam Raouf in the 86th minute of play. The Matay supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matay would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
