Gaafar Helal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Belal Mazen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Letopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dibi the free kick. Basem Akram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Refaat Marwan, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bahaa Gamal during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Refaat Marwan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basem Akram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Refaat Marwan in the 24th minute of the match. Dibi were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Letopolis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yasser Abdel Masoud took the corner. After 50 played minutes Dibi got a freekick which was hit by Seif Emad. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Letopolis's Gaafar Helal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yousry Raouf in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Yousry Raouf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Letopolis's Gaafar Helal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osama Bahaa charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osama Bahaa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Osama Bahaa hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Dibi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Refaat Marwan scored to the left of an out of position Basem Akram, making the score, 1-1. Gaafar Helal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamdy Essam in the 80th minute of play. Alaa Sallam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basem Akram having to make a save. Letopolis's Alaa Sallam got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Salah Faisal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dibi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Letopolis the free kick. 84 minutes into the game, one of Dibi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Letopolis getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Osama Bahaa hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Dibi could leave the field as winners, despite Letopolis having more of the ball for most of the match.
