Basem Akram made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Shehab Fahed sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Malij's goal looked a bit too open when Hamdy Essam came free, but Abdou Emam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shehab Farouk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Basem Akram when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bahaa Gamal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Abdou Emam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamdy Essam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdou Emam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Salah Faisal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dibi and the Malij players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dibi! Tawfeek Aino charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tawfeek Aino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Malij's Tawfeek Aino got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Tawfeek Aino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Medhat Kordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basem Akram having to interfere. Basem Akram showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shehab Farouk in the 46th minute of the match.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Shehab Farouk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dibi's Basem Akram was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute, Tawfeek Aino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yasser Abdel Masoud was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Yousry Raouf charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yousry Raouf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Yousry Raouf hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Dibi's Basem Akram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medhat Kordy in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamdy Essam in the 64th minute of play forced Malij's goalkeeper Abdou Emam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hamdy Essam in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdou Emam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Yousry Raouf in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Medhat Kordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basem Akram having to interfere. Medhat Kordy took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basem Akram. Basem Akram dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Basem Akram took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shehab Farouk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Yousry Raouf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Shehab Farouk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basem Akram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Seif Emad fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dibi's protests and gave Seif Emad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th match minute, Dibi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saeed Salah el din to maneuver through the defense. Shehab Fahed's late challenge caught a Dibi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shehab Fahed helped the player get up and apologised. In the 99th minute, Shehab Fahed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dibi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malij.
